Largo is one of the most successful stallions in the history of show jumping. His excellent character, temperament and conformation coupled with his fine pedigree and outstanding performance record, place him in a class by himself. Largo has earned top honors in both Europe and America. Amongst his most prestigous awards are: Horse of the Year - The Netherlands; Leading Stallion Nationally on the AGA Grand Prix Tour (1985 & 1986); PCHA Grand Prix Horse of the Year, and the Number One Money Winning Jumper Stallion in America. Largo is a licensed elite Warmblood stallion. Foaled in 1973, this bright bay 16.2 hand Hannoverian is triple registered: Verband Hannoverscher Warmblutzuchter (VHW) in Germany; The Warmblood Paardenstamboeck (WPN "A" approved) in the Netherlands; and with the American Hanoverian Society (AHS) in the United States.

Largo's exceptional pedigree is traceable back to a Trakehner sire named Parsival by Morgenstrahl out of a Perfektionist Thoroughbred mare. Parsival was the pricnipal stallion at Trakehnen from 1925 to 1931, producing 22 approved stallions. Lateran (Largo's grand sire), who stood at Celle from 1947 - 1966 is known for his offspring which are "spectacularly successful in jumping competition". The distaff side of Largo's pedigree has five St Pr St (State Premium) mares within the first three generations. A champion is born to win. Largo's powerful presence and natural ability establish him as one of the premier stallions in the world of show jumping. Best of all, his foals are exhibiting the same superlative traits.

Now deceased, his legacy continues through his exceptional offspring, and a good-sized bank of frozen semen.  For contracts, contact Mariana Farm Stallion Bank, 18936 Paradise Mountain Rd., Valley Center, California 92082;  phone (760) 749-8933; fax (760) 749-0304; e-mail mariana@tfb.com
