KOJAK: KWPN Bay Born: 1992 Height 1.68 m. (16.2 h.h.)
KWPN Westfalen Oldenbu

The Westphalian showjumping progenitor Pit I, undoubtedly belongs with the best stud stallions directly descending from the legendary stallion Pilot who is renowned for stamping his ability on his progeny. Pit I is a full brother of the famous international showjumper Prinzregent ridden by Norbert Koof. Both horses come out of the mare Findra (by Fruhlinstraum). That Pit I bestows his showjumping genes on his offspring is evident with the international showjumpers Perina (Meredith Michaels), Paloma (Patricia Stovel) and Picadilly (Debby Winkler).  Additionally there are more than twenty sons of Pit I approved for stud duty, among them, Kojak. In the second and third generations of Kojak's damline we come across two stallions out of the famous Ramzes-line, which are respectively, Rex Fritz (by Ramiro)and Rokoko (by Romadour II). Out of this widely branched Hannovarian family, there are a great many approved stallions, the most famous being, Abendfrieden, Alljeder and Fetsport I III

Kojak excelled in all the jumping elements during his performance test with three times a 9 and one 8.5. In 1997 Kojak was the winner of the stallion competition and also the sire of the Dutch Champion filly foal. Sadly Kojak was then withdrawn from the showjumping sport with a tendon injury. Kojak already has two approved sons with the KWPN, namely Paco and Optimist. The offspring of Kojak are very much in demand by the showjumping riders and perform extremely well in both the national and international jumping ring. Meanwhile Kojak's offspring are now jumping at Grand-Prix level, for example Orchidee (Kojak x Jasper) ridden by Steve Guerdat and Oubertha (Kojak x Cavalier ridden by Gilbert Deroock. The Kojak-daughter Orchidee was qualified for the Olympics in Athens with Steve Guerdat for Switserland.
